On Sunday my mother, sister, Josie and I headed out to Old World Wisconsin for Laura Ingalls Wilder Day. It'd been years since any of us had been so we thought we would enjoy the day outside; Curt and my father passed on this outing making it a Girl's Day which is a common thing for my mother, sister, and I and now Josie too!
Just playing in the gift shop.
Laura Ingall's Josie..there was a dress up contest to see who looked the most like Laura Ingall's Wilder. Some of the girls were really cute. Josie didn't blend in at all with her neon UVA top and hawaiian hat!
Raspberry School; Grades 1-8 No Way! One grade is enough for me.
Taking the tram between exhibits. Josie loved this and wouldn't look to the camera. See how her had is flipped up...that is from the wind blowing in her face. She fussed anytime the tram stopped to load and unload, she wanted to keep going.
When she saw the horses come by she would stop and watch them closely. This is the same look she has when she's watching Mulligan and Bogey.
A horse team coming through, there were many throughout the day.
Jodi, Josie, and Grandma Yoohoo
Josie slept for about half of our visit but when she woke up she loved it and
was very alert and looking around; she didn't know what to stare at first.
Parlor room that mom liked.
Blacksmiths hard at work. We also saw people making ice cream, a cobbler, butter being made, twine being spun, hay being bundled. Lots of things to do but not lots of pictures for you.
