Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree

how lovely are thy branches!

I think it's hysterical!
Today we went to the doctor and even the male doctor made a comment about it
and told me my mom should market them. I totally agree!

8 Months old

Josie turned 8 months over the weekend. She has had a big month! She started crawling on November 19th (my sis's birthday) and now zooms around everywhere. She also started pulling herself up to stand on December 1st. Now she pulls herself up on everything and tries it on low objects too and gets frustrated she's not standing all the way. She had another ear infection this month (other ear though) and a lower respiratory infection. At her last appointment for the infections she weighed 17lbs3oz. She has started eating a few baby puffs and is getting the hang of a new texture and consistency in her mouth. She's eating really well (not last week though when she was sick) but I think getting tired of cereal in the morning. This month she has really discovered the dogs too...trying to pet them, grab their ears, and follow them around. They continue to be her number one laugh too; espescially when they are chasing each other throughout the house. She is such a cutie with those cheeks and she has such a wonderful spirit.

The Stockings Were Hung...

by the chimney with care (or on a sign that I made with my nieces and Curt)
in hope that St. Nicholas soon would be there.

What goodies were there? Baby puffs, yogurt drops, and snack wheels. We all got a nativity; a nice one for the grown-ups and a little one for Josie.
a book about the manger story and a radio too.

They're out of their boxes now. Look at Josie loving Baby Jesus.

Dancing Elves

My mom sent me this video this past week! It took me a bit to figure out who it was; I was talking on the phone and checking email so it didn't register right away. Isn't it hysterical?!? Who knew the girls could dance so well!

Two Sick Days for Me

to take care of Josie. I wish she weren't sick but it's been awesome spending two quiet days at home with her with nowhere to go and deadlines to worry about! We went in over the weekend because she had a slight fever and she had another ear infection; other ear this time. And then Tuesday we were back in because of a slight wheeze and she had a lower respiratory infection. She had a breathing treatment at the doctors office and is using an inhaler at home for the next week or so. She has been a lovey...lots of snuggle time. She is so content and hasn't cried at all (well except at medicine time) and has played and napped and played and napped for two days. We've both been hanging out in our pajamas too for the past two days. Here she is sporting an early St.Nick gift from Grandma Yoohoo. I don't have fleece p.j.s half as cute so we'll skip the picture of me!

Present Already Under the Tree

So I already got a Christmas present! We went out on Black Friday and loved it! I have everyone done except my brother and Curt on that day and I could always buy for Josie and my nieces but I am technically done with them. Anyways, I was going to get myself the Cricut (it was 60% off!) but my mother said she would but since I wanted it right away to work on some school projects she gave it to me right away! It's been fun to learn so I hope I get lots of use out of it!

Curt's Tree

In the past I've had a fake tree but we decided to get a real tree and Curt did a great job putting it up. I'm not sure how fun it was for him trying to get it straight though!

How'd this happen?!?!

Josie decided to motorboat her mouth at just the right time! It got all over her but nothing else!

Jackson's 1st Brithday Party

This week Josie's second-cousin Jackson celebrated his first birthday! It was a cute monkey themed event. There were these little hats for the kids...Josie wasn't into it at all! Can you tell?!

Our First Thanksgiving

And when I say first I don't just mean Josie; I mean Curt as well. For the three years that Curt and I have known each other he's always been gone hunting on Thanksgiving. This year he left soon after the meal but it was nice to have him with us on Thanksgiving.
A Thanksgiving Day comfy outfit
hanging out at the dinner table...no milk for us yet though Josie!
Thanksgiving Day family photo
Trying to make a wishbone wish!
Her Thanksgiving Day feast...baby food stage 2!
And a few tidbits of sweet potatoe, turkey, and roll.
