Josie had her 15 month check-up last Friday when we returned from Florida.
She is 32" tall--90% and 19 lbs 9.5 oz--6%
A perfect volleyball players build!
She did drop in percentile for her weight so we will do a weight check in a month with the doctor.
A few things about Josie!
1. She can be a charmer--she will wave to passerbys, give her sly little smile, and even gave a stranger at church one of her parmesan goldfish crackers.
2. She loves music and will frequently be caught dancing and shaking her little bum.
3. She is STRONG-WILLED! She likes things her way and to do them independently. She refuses to let us feed her most of the time and will spit out food only to put it in her mouth herself! She will get frustrated with a toy but will get frustrated with the person who trys to help. She will definetly be a leader or a loner to do it her way.
4. Unfortunately she's going through a hitting phase and will wap you if she doesn't like what you are doing to tell you to stop or to leave her alone. Hopefully this is a fast phase because all I see is naughty second grader getting trouble at school (downside of being a teacher)
5. She has about 20 words that people beyond Curt and I can understand; doctor said at this age 4-5 is a norm. Off the top of my head she says mama, dadda, doggy, stop, no, don't, go, nuk, milk, apa for papa, kale for karley, more, hiya, yeah, nana for banana. In the past two weeks she has started saying up and ama for gramma!
6. She knows where her hands, feet, and belly are and other people's noses.
There's so much more I could sing the praises about this little girl but I'll cut myself off as to not to bore everyone else. She's a smart one and is a quick "copycat". You can see her studying things so often. At the doctor's office he was trying to distract her with his flashlight pen and moving it around on her body and she would try to grab the blue spot of light. After about 5 of these flashes she figured it out and grabbed the pen out of his hand. Even he had to call her a stinker for figuring his trick out!
