Fun Friday!

I had a fun Friday that I wanted to remember in the future. The class and a few of the parents planned a suprise baby shower for me today at school...so they were all waiting quietly in the classroom as I got to school yesterday so they could should suprise! There were cupcakes, chocolate chip cookie cake, candy treat boxes for the students, ice cold milk, baby shower games, and more presents! I had my camera in my purse but didn't think to get any pictures...I hope I get better at that in the near future! Thank you Denise H and Julie A for planning a great treat for me and the students!

Happy Birthday Papa!!!

This past Friday the 13th we celebrated my dad's birthday; we all gathered for dinner at the Machine Shed for food and games...I think my parents had as much fun playing the games as much as my nieces did.... I know I enjoyed watching my mom hoop n holler over the games! We then went back to my parent's house for cake and ice cream. Curt and I sent him a cookie bouquet for his birthday with "Happy Birthday You Old Buzzard" written on it...they were deliciously huge sugar cookies!

Curt's Baby Shower

This past weekend Curt's mother threw us a baby shower with his family! It was a nice get together and we got spoiled yet again! Several of Curt's aunts and cousins worked together to purchase our pack n' play; Curt is quite excited about this...granted we haven't put it together because we haven't picked a place to put it yet! Curt's Aunt Beth made us a delicious cake with Josie on it... this is Curt's choice for name but my brain is still on Eliza after all these months.
I think Curt will win this one though!
t's pick for the name!

A Race...

Curt and I worked on putting together some of Chiquita's gear that we got last week... We raced to see who could get done first...he did the swing and I did the bouncer...Who do you think won?

Curt's done a really great job putting things together and making sure they work!

Ice Fishing Weekend

The last weekend in February, Curt went up north to Escanaba ice fishing with his Dad, Uncle Jeff, and Pat and Michelle. (I stayed home with the dogs!!) They got one fish during their three days of ice fishing but they had fun hanging out, going out to eat, and going to the casino; yeah Curt won! Here are a few pics from their icy weekend up north!
Here is a picture of Pat & Michelle in the ice shack staying warm...does that look warm too you?

Here is Curt's dad outside fishing; can you see him smiling?
A nice picture of Pat
A view of the shore line; it is really pretty out there but still too cold for me!

Name Change-??

Curt and I are stuck on a name.... We've agreed to Eliza Rose a month ago and have shared that name with a lot of people... even ordered a plaque with her name on it. However, last week at my niece's soccer game we heard another name that caught our attention; Josie and would still have Rose as a middle name, Josie Rose.We don't know which way to go because we like the names for different reasons...granted we have time to make a decision
but I think that we should just stick with Chiquita!

We were SPOILED!!!

On Sunday my sister and mother threw Curt, Chiquita, and I a fabulous baby shower. There were family, friends, co-workers from school, and the zoo. We were extremely spoiled by everyone's generosity. Here is a pic of what the room looked like as we brought in all of the gifts. The room looks a little bit better now but we still have a lot to organize and put together.

Here are some pics of the baby shower cake and a special one just for Chiquita! Of course, these were made by my great friend Jennie!

My mom knitted a blanket for us with roses in all of the corners as well as gave us a baptismal gown for Chiquita. She made a garment bag for it as well; the picture on the right is me figuring out what it is! I did not know this was coming and absolutely love it. We actually received other handmade quilts; which I find so amazing as it took people's time and energy.
