For Anna and Thank You Anna

One of my mom's friends is an amazing knitter just like her. She made Josie this sweater and we've been waiting to wear it; well it's still a little too big but we needed an extra layer last night. The sweater is so soft and she looks completely adorable in it. The photo is right after she woke up so she wasn't in a photo opp kind of mood. Thanks Anna!

A" Winter" Christmas

Last night we had dinner with my great friend Jennie and her family. They have three children, the youngest Madalyn is one year minus two days and is my goddaughter :) Jennie made a delicious meal; we love to go over there because she's always makes amazing things and gets Curt to try something new and he ends up liking it so we can expand our recipe box! Here are the kids opening gifts. Of course we tried to get the girls for a little shot together but you can see how that turned out! Thanks for a great night Jennie and always spoiling us and taking good care of us. See you Saturday for the big 1 year old birthday party!

An Exciting Day for Josie

On Sunday Josie had a day of new experiences. She "rode" her bike, went sledding, and had fun swinging and sliding upstairs on her new jungle gym. She loved all of it! Anytime someone tried to touch her bike while she was on it she would sqwauk and bat their hand away. She was all smiles and giggles outside espescially when the girls would run and pull her. Between the slide and the swing, I think she gets more of a reaction from the slide but is content to swing for 10-15 minutes. Our plan is to turn the upstairs which is one big empty room into a family room. Hopefully in the near future you will see a post about that!

Christmas with Curt's Parents (and a birthday too)

Wii wish you a merry Christmas,
Wii wish you a merry Christmas,
Wii wish you a merry Christmas
and a Happy New Year!

Well this Christmas was all about the Wii; Curt got one from Santa, then his mom got one from his dad, then we got one from his parents. His mom got a Wii Fit Plus for her birthday which is today, the day after Christmas and we exchanged one of our Wiis for a Wii Fit as well. We saved the rest of the money from return for some games in the near future when we can pick out what we want most.

Josie got a fancy new wagon and loved it immediately! No more lego wagon for her!

Gag Gift of the Year

Every year it seems that someone in my family is giving a gag gift to someone. There have been items such as pink flamingos and animal balloon kits exchanged before. This year it was Curt's turn. He received this "fish" hat from my mother (which she knitted and it turned out awesome) He says he's going to wear it to bring him luck. The real gift was money stashed inside so he can go to Bass Pro Shop to choose a new fishing pole for himself as well.

Can you find the baby?

amongst all the presents?
This was the scene at my parents house before the wrapping paper hurricane began. No this is not all for Josie but ten of us and we all still exchange with each other so it's a pile. My nieces got lots of new clothes and craft projects. Josie got a new bike, play house, walk and ride walker, a Build A Bear reindeer, a tea set and the Happy Feet movie (in honor of her constant dancing feet), and clothes as well as a duffel luggage set for trips away. My nieces seemed to think that was a sign she was ready for a sleepover; no give me another 17 years for that :) We were all spoiled and grateful for it.
Here's a few of Josie enjoying paper everywhere. She was so tired out by the end of the night that she laid herself down on the carpet to put herself to sleep! Of course I don't have a picture of that and we took it as ur cue to start packing up.

Mutz Family Christmas

Tonight we were able to celebrate with the whole Mutz family before running off to my familys. In the past year it has gone from no babies to three; Jackson just turned a year, Josie is 8 1/2 months, and Brady is almost six months. The kids "exchanged gifts with each other but really it turned into the adults opening presents.

Josie's Stage Debut

Today Josie played 1 of 3 baby Jesuses in the Christmas Nativity at church. I was more nervous than she; I thought for sure she would cry but she didn't; I'm still shocked. I had my dad take her up as she's started to fuss a bit when I pass her off to someone. She fussed a bit but then got more interested in looking around and once Mary (played by Heidi, a 6th grader) had her sitting up she was just fine. Here she is before in her very "artsy" outfit, next to her very own reserved seat marker, and in action. Curt and I were the beaming parents like always :)

Not Yet Josie!

Josie is ready for Christmas. All of our presents are wrapped and under the tree. I even have gifts that I took care of for my brother so the girls wouldn't find them at his house. Our tree is overflowing with presents! Josie left the tree alone until the presents came out....she's already opened one this week and started in on a second today! The big one is hers but not the other smaller one; that's for Jackson. She loves the bows...let's see how safe they are until Chrismas Day.

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree

how lovely are thy branches!

I think it's hysterical!
Today we went to the doctor and even the male doctor made a comment about it
and told me my mom should market them. I totally agree!
