Best Husband Ever!

I'm here to brag today about having the best husband ever! Curt has been on a chore marathon yesterday and today. We got back from up north last night and since then he has...

1. mopped the kitchen and rearranged it to make it look bigger
2. put together a desk for a new office
3. mowed the lawn
4. cleaned the bathroom
5. vacummed the living room
6. asked for a honey-do list for this weekend when I work and he doesn't!

This was all on his own without any wifely nagging! Makes me think what did he do.... NOTHING; I just got the best husband ever! (Isn't he cute too with his new haircut!)

Happy Memorial Day

Happy Memorial Day Everyone....

It's seems that Memorial Day for Curt and I mean fishing and flowers! We spent the past four days up north in Escanaba (da' UP hey der!) fishing with his family. He had a pretty good weekend for fishing....a little cold one day, rain and hail another, but outside of that nice! We also went to the casino to try our luck (no luck), the movies, shopping, and of course just sitting around relaxing... When we got back we put out our summer flower baskets. Check out the chair pot! That was one of my finds up north in the craft stores!

Our Golfing Buddies

Above are pictures of Kristin and Mike; our golfing buddies! The four of us take lessons together on Monday evenings through the rec department. Kristin and Mike are newlyweds as well (April 12!) so we decided to sign our husbands up for golf lessons! I think Kristin and I are better than them~~granted that's never been tested out on a real course yet...

Congratulations Trisha & Jeremy

One of my closest girl friends is getting married in November. I received her save the date card today. This is the picture that was on her save the date card. Trisha was a bridesmaid in our wedding when this picture was taken. Which is perfect because Trisha's romance inspired me to find one of my own. Trisha met Jeremy on E-harmony and seemed to be well matched. So I gave it a try too and two months later I met Curt. Melisa another friend, who I wrote about before, also met and married her husband from e-harmony. I think we should all become a commerical for the webpage. But anways, congratulations Trisha. You and everything about your wedding will be beautiful!

Cleaning My Linen Closet...

Today I got a call from my good friend Melisa who lives down the street and is getting ready to sell her home as her family is expanding by two; twins, one girl and one boy! Anyways here was one of the most random phone conversations I've had in a while. Melisa and I found it pretty funny and I hope you do too.

Melisa: I have an offer for you. I'm not trying to be pushy or anything and thought I could save you some money.

Me(in my head) : What the H-E- double hockey sticks is she getting at?!?!

Melisa: So I finished cleaning the linen closet today and

Me (in my head) OH!!! She's going to want to give me some hand me down sheets or something

Melisa: I just came across some pregnancy tests and ovulation kits since I know you are thinking about trying in the summer sometime. The boxes are open but don't worry I didn't pee on them!

Me: You're hysterical!

Now maybe to all of you; not so funny. But it was so left field and what I was not imagining we would talk about and I never want to forget that conversation!

Our "Maiden" Blog

This is our 1st blog ever! We are Jaime and Curt; newlyweds as of February 9, 2008. (almost three months!) Our neighbor has a blog with her husband and family. They have wonderful photos, videos, and music to share with their family and friends. We thought we would copy as well. Even though we don't have any kids to post we do have two cute dogs. (but overly active) Curt and I met in December of 2006, became engaged in July of 2007 and had our wedding in February of 2008. We are pretty low key people who enjoy being outside, fishing, and golfing. Curt loves to hunt and I prefer to read. We both watch tons of movie and sadly love reality TV. Curt the The Deadliest Catch and me The Bachelor. (I know, for shame, not quality TV) Curt and I hope to begin a family sometime soon but hesitate because of having two house payments. Anyone interested in a Slinger condo? Curt moved into my home officially after the wedding and are patiently awaiting a sale of his. So for now the dogs get all of the attention!
