Happy Half Birthday Josie!

Josie is 6 months old! Happy Half Birthday to You! I sang to her and I know Denise (babysitter) did too. Here are a few pictures from the past week or so. On Wednesday we had her doctor appointment, she is smaller than we had guessed. 15lbs 12.5 ounces (50th percentile) and 26.75 inches (90th percentile). The doctor said she looked good and healthy and based on developmental accomplishments thinks Josie will be a one year walker not a nine month walker. That's okay with us because then the poor puppies will get little peace!

Josie is rolling over both ways and to travel to different places. If she is on her back, guranteed she will flip herself over. She has begun scooting backwards and has actually traveled the length of our living room; moving around on hardwood floors makes for easier traveling! She still talks up a storm with some consonant sounds like b, y, and m. She put everything into her mouth...leaves, shoes, socks, whatever she can wiggle too and pick up! If we sit her up then she can sit for about 2/3 minutes without support before there is a tipover. Josie loves her jumperoo and is always moving her feet and legs, pumping and kicking them when we are holding her or when she is laying on the floor. She has been nicknamed Happy Feet! She is an excellent eater and has eaten everything we put in front of her. Josie definetly has her favorites but will eat all her veggies with some faces of course. She started fruits this week and has been enjoying those! She is doing an excellent job at Denise's and continues to be mellow and content.
