It's a tough job but someone's got to do it...

First Sponge Bath

My mom came over last week and helped me give Josie her first sponge bath; I thought it was going to be a slippery challenge...but it wasn't. I guess that is to come when we actually put her into the baby bathtub. She fussed because we undressed her but once we got going and felt the warm water, she loved it! Espescially her head being washed and wiped...hopefully this is a good sign she'll enjoy her "real" baths. Curt said she must be my daughter because I could soak in a hot bubble bath for hours!

Our trip home...

Here is Josie, dressed and waiting for her discharge papers, snuggled with her favorite blanket!

Bundled in the carseat and enjoying the ride contently...

Can You Guess Who Dressed Me This Morning??

Hint...It wasn't Mommy!!!

Looks Scary But It Wasn't....

Before leaving the hospital, Josie had a hearing test. The pictures look scary and intense but it wasn't reallly... she passed so no reasons to ignore us as she gets older!

A Late Belly Photo

Here is my belly the night before we went into the hospital... I must admit my mom made me take it but it will be nice to look back at and remember when...

The Last To Do...

Getting the carseat in was our last to do...we've got the diapers, the wipes, some outfits (more like lots of outfits), bottles and formula if needed, warm blankies, and now the carseat is installed. Curt and I were reading the manual and it sounded like rocket science; Curt called his cousin with a question about positioning; he happened to be in the area so he stopped by and helped get it in! Thanks Johnny & Kari, that saved us a lot of time futzing around!
Can't wait to see Jackson's Easter Bunny pictures!

Resourceful Puppy

So in an attempt to lengthen the life of our furniture, the cleanliness of the fabric, and training before Chiquita comes we have banned the dogs from the couches, chairs, and beds in the house. They do pretty well except when we have visitors and jump anywhere in excitement. The hardest is when we are in the bedroom lounging and they want to snuggle with us. Today this is where I found Mulligan; I guess if you can't snuggle in a bed or on a pillow you make your own version in the dirty laundry basket!

Beauty Shop Day

The dogs went in for a much needed nail clipping and grooming...here they are modeling their fancy handkerchiefs...
