Halloween at the Domes

Tonight we had a great family outing to the Mitchell Park Domes. The three of us walked around the domes, went trick or treating at one spot, watched an awesome light show that fascinated Josie. Josie had two outfits going on; her skeleton pajamas and her monkey suit. The domes were small and beyond her but Curt and I enjoyed something new..
This is a super small part of the light show.

fashion faux paux?

Josie was sporting quite the outfit the other evening. A Halloween outfit from Grandma Yoohoo; it's a 6-9 month but short by about two inches so she had to wear her awesome rainbow brite leg warmers. My mom then stopped by with a new beanie hat she made for her so she had to model it right away. So how many patterns and colors does it take before an outfit is over the top?!?!?
Here she is tring to pull herself up but you can see we need to do some more arm exercises before that happens. Good try though!

We have a ......

TOOTH!
She's actually had it for about a week now but I've been trying to get a picture and it's just not happening because of the glare and closeness of the camera. If I can figure out how to turn off my flash then maybe it will work. Her tooth broke skin last weekend when we were in Lake Geneva. She did pretty well with it; no fever or crying but for about two weeks she was not sleeping through the night, was definitely more clingy and a bit fussy but nothing the Motrim didn't cure. Since then though she's back to herself and constantly playing with the tooth on her tongue. Yesterday I checked and she has her other bottom tooth just under the skin so we'll see how fast that one will break through and how she is with it! Hopefully we will be able to get a picture soon.

Working Hard on Computer Skills

Not really but doesn't it look like it?!?! Josie loves the laptop; anytime it comes on it gets her attention and she will just stare at it...she loves to tap away at the buttons. I shouldn't be encouraging this because one of these times she's going to push a series of buttons I won't know what to do to fix! Still cute though!

Water Baby

Josie had her first swim this weekend. It took her a little bit to get used to the sensation but then she seemed to enjoy it espescially if we bounced with her. She went on her front and back as well as kicked those "Happy Feet" legs of hers for a long time. You can see from her face she was not sure what was going on at first. I attached a short video of her in the pool as well.

6 Month Family Photos

Last week we went to visit a friend from our previous church in West Bend. She is hoping to get a small photography business up and running. So she took us to a park in West Bend for some photos. Here are a few of my favorite. I think Renee is off to an awesome start!

So busy but fun is on its way..

This week I have had a tremendous amount of work to do...grading tons of papers, compiling them, and completing progress reports all for a 6 hour work night on parent teacher conferences last night. They went very well and most of the parents I've spoken with and met before so there were no crazy suprises there. Thank you to Jodi who watched Josie last night until 9:30 when I got home from work so Curt could go up north fishing for the weekend. Now today, we have breakfast plans with some family from Florida and then Josie, my mom, my sister, and I are off for a weekend in Lake Geneva!

All By Herself

Josie is a sitter now! For about a week she has been able to sit on her own for an extended amount of time...she's gone up to 30 minutes without a tumble or support from one of us. Of course, if she's looking around and up then backwards she goes! We were suprised to see how quickly she went from a mintue or two at a time then for so long. It seemed to happen in a week's time!
