Curt and I typically go to dinner on Wednesday nights; tonight we decided to go to Applebees and to visit Santa. We went by Santa first but he was on his dinnerbreak so we walked over to Applebees and who was there? Santa on his dinnerbreak and calling us over to visit him at his table. So we did and Josie got to meet Santa. She was really watching him at first and then when we passed her off to him she wasn't so sure anymore but did pretty well; a little fussing because it's someone new but not a major meltdown....now to convince my nieces to have a picture of the three of them together. Thanks Santa for letting us visit you at dinnertime !

An Exciting Week
So Josie has had an exciting week... another tooth! Yep that's three already (just a small bit of one of her front top teeth poked through!) I checked my baby book from my mom and I was past 9 months before my teeth came in and Curt said his mother said he was past a year. So we were thinker later than sooner but they're here! And she is doing so well with it, sleeping through the night and not bothered by them but not eating the greatest???
Also, Josie can now move from being on all fours into a seated position on her own. This was Curt's first first; meaning he saw it before me or Denise. He was so excited that he called me at grad school on Thursday night. She's been doing it today all day long. See the video :)
And finally, Josie is crawling! Backwards but she's starting to get the hang of it; that's on the video too! What a week!

7 Months Old and New Tricks
Josie turned 7 months old on Friday and is doing GREAT! She still is a mellow, content baby. This month she has learned how to sit by herself, started eating fruits, rolls and scoots everywhere, and waves to people. Her newest tricks in the past few days is going up on all fours and rocking as well as clapping along with you. Since getting her two teeth though her sleep pattern is way off; she is waking up in the middle of the night still. She had a ear infection too this month and between that and the teething she has learned that if she screams at night we will come; so we have a habit to try to break. If you notice how soaked her shirt is in the picture just above though she may be teething her top teeth...no clue!

Papa Daycare (and Yoohoo too)
Denise and her boys have been majorly sick this week so Josie has been skipping going to the babysitter this week and haning out at Papa's Daycare Center (my dad's house) for the week. My mom has been coming home during her lunch hour to have some fun with Josie as well. Curt will have her Thursday before he leaves for a long weekend of bow hunting and I will have her Friday while I prepare for a long weekend of relaxing. Here's her favorite thing to do at Papa Daycare...ride around in the lego wagon of her older cousins!
Grand Prize Winner
We got a call Saturday from the domes telling us that Josie was the grand prize costume winner from the night before! She won a year's pass to the Milwaukee Zoo; what an awesome prize that hopefully we will use tons in the warmer weather!

Halloween at the Domes
Tonight we had a great family outing to the Mitchell Park Domes. The three of us walked around the domes, went trick or treating at one spot, watched an awesome light show that fascinated Josie. Josie had two outfits going on; her skeleton pajamas and her monkey suit. The domes were small and beyond her but Curt and I enjoyed something new..
This is a super small part of the light show.

fashion faux paux?
Josie was sporting quite the outfit the other evening. A Halloween outfit from Grandma Yoohoo; it's a 6-9 month but short by about two inches so she had to wear her awesome rainbow brite leg warmers. My mom then stopped by with a new beanie hat she made for her so she had to model it right away. So how many patterns and colors does it take before an outfit is over the top?!?!?
Here she is tring to pull herself up but you can see we need to do some more arm exercises before that happens. Good try though!

We have a ......
TOOTH!
She's actually had it for about a week now but I've been trying to get a picture and it's just not happening because of the glare and closeness of the camera. If I can figure out how to turn off my flash then maybe it will work. Her tooth broke skin last weekend when we were in Lake Geneva. She did pretty well with it; no fever or crying but for about two weeks she was not sleeping through the night, was definitely more clingy and a bit fussy but nothing the Motrim didn't cure. Since then though she's back to herself and constantly playing with the tooth on her tongue. Yesterday I checked and she has her other bottom tooth just under the skin so we'll see how fast that one will break through and how she is with it! Hopefully we will be able to get a picture soon.
